The EducatioNal Data Observatory Network

A participatory, co-creative and demand-driven network formed by multidisciplinary researchers, educational leaders and other educational stakeholders.

About TENDON

TENDON aims to create a common Educational Data Observatory that allows researchers from different areas, educational leaders and local governments to provide better education based on large-scale information provided by several countries in the region facing similar issues and focusing on the same goals – quality in education for all. TENDON is the first initiative of this kind in the south-south region and intends to start with a collaboration between Latin America and Australia.

Principles

The network works based on the following main principles

Evidence-based practices

In this project the focus is to gather information (from available databases, documents, reports) and provide mechanisms for sharing and analysing it, so that the most adequate strategies and policies may be observed, planned and applied according to the specific local context.

Evidence will be incorporated to local expertise and countries values to result in change in local practices.

FAIR principles

Guidelines to make data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable. FAIR will be used to provide the partners with guidelines to publish, access and reuse the data providing contextual information (e.g., provenance information) and guide the development of the SoS to ensure interoperability and that data is findable.

TENDON

The Educational Data Observatory Network (TENDON) invites researchers, educational leaders and industry, government, and non-government organisations to join and cooperate with us towards the development of an Educational Data Observatory that meets the needs of the southern countries.
